‘A bit about me’

After working overseas as part of my Travel and Tourism course at college, I fell in love with the industry. I’ve been so lucky working for different UK tour operators, being able to travel and see the world and learn about what makes peoples experiences so special. After having my children and taking a break from travel, I was desperate to get back to it.

What is your favourite discover the world education destination?

I went on an educational trip to Morocco with my college. My favourite part was visiting the Marrakech Medina and experiencing the culture and vibrancy of the souks. I also enjoyed the diversity of hotels, from niche guesthouse to all-inclusive resorts.

What are some of your most memorable travel moments?

Doing an overland safari from Victoria Falls down to Cape Town. Camping in South Africa is something else! I ended the experience by climbing Table Mountain, this was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done but completely worth it once you’re at the top!

Also, the Western Coast of Australia is beautiful, the beaches there are incomparable.

What do you love most about your job?

I love planning and organising. I feel a great sense of achievement when a plan comes together. Combining this with my passion for travel is the ideal role for me.

Which excursion or activity do you most recommend?

A glacier walk is a unique and memorable experience.
