Day

1

Arrive & Walking tour of Marrakech Medina

Arrive at Marrakech Menara Airport and meet your Tour Leader.

Kick off your trip with a guided walking tour of Marrakech Medina and Jemaa el-Fnaa. Explore the UNESCO-Listed site and its rich cultural heritage, vibrant street life and the ancient walled city.

Jemaa el-Fnaa, Marrakech’s famous central square, is bustling with street performers, storytellers and musicians – a great introduction to Moroccan culture! It comes more alive as the night goes on.

End the day with dinner at your accommodation or a local restaurant in Marrakech.

Day

2

Cooking Class, High Atlas & Amazigh (Berber) Village

Begin at Le Jardin Secret, a traditional Islamic paradise garden featuring fountains, 19th-century architecture, and lush greenery.

Continue with a cooking class to learn about traditional Moroccan cuisine. Local chefs will teach students to make the perfect tagine bursting with local spices and authentic Moroccan mint tea.

Head to Imlil in the High Atlas, the base camp for anyone climbing Mount Toubkal, North Africa’s highest peak.

You’ll visit an Amazigh village where students can immerse themselves in local culture and learn how they’ve sustained their lives in a drought-prone environment.

Spend the night in the mountainside village of Imlil.

Day

3

Atlas Mountains Hike, Community Project Work & Moroccan Storytelling

Start with a short hike in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains where students can see how glaciation and rivers sculpted the landscape.

After a picnic lunch, take part in a community project (payable locally)*. This could include repairing village paths, cleaning irrigation channels, restoring water pipes, or painting a classroom in a local school, depending on the time of year.

After dinner, enjoy an evening of Moroccan storytelling in Imlil.

Day

4

Beach Clean-Up & Camel Ride in Sidi Kaouki

Travel to Sidi Kaouki and begin with a picnic lunch at the beach before starting your beach clean-up. Help keep the environment tidy while strolling on this beach, renowned for trade winds and large waves that frequently bring plastic waste onto the beach that has been polluting the Atlantic Ocean.

Take a camel ride along the beach. I truly unique experience, travel like the nomads have for generations and see the coast from a different perspective.

Travel the short distance to Essaouira and end the day with dinner at your accommodation or a local restaurant. Along the route, you may be lucky enough to witness the peculiar sight of goats climbing the native Argan trees!

Day

5

Guided Walking Tour of Essaouira Medina & Transfer to Marrakech

Start with a guided walking tour of the old Medina in Essaouira. Discover the UNESCO-Listed medina’s blue and white buildings and see fortified ramparts, bustling souks, a fishing port, and artisan workshops.

Travel to Marrakech and have dinner at your accommodation or a local restaurant.

Day

6

Guided Walking Tour of Marrakech

Start with a guided walking tour of Marrakech, you’ll stroll through souks, see the old Koranic School and Koutoubia Mosque and learn about Morocco’s heritage.
